SS32-5 Days L. Manyara,Ngorongoro Creater and Serengeti - Camping

The compact game-viewing circuit through Manyara offers a virtual microcosm of the Tanzanian safari experience. From the entrance gate, the road winds through an expanse of lush jungle-like groundwater forest where hundred-strong baboon troops lounge nonchalantly along the roadside, blue monkeys scamper nimbly between the ancient mahogany trees, dainty bushbuck tread warily through the shadows, and outsized forest hornbills honk cacophonously in the high canopy.

 

Day 1: ARUSHA or NAIROBI /LMANYARA
Depart from your hotel at 0800 hrs. Arrive Namanga border at 1000 hrs. After immigration formalities, drive to Arusha for lunch. Afternoon game viewing at L. Manyara National Park famed for its abundant bird life , tree climbing Lions and large herds of Elephants for after noon game viewing. Dinner and overnight at the Camp.

Day 2: L.MANYARA/NGORONGORO
After breakfast proceed to Ngorongoro crater in time for lunch. Ngorongoro cater is one of the wonders of the world's so nicknamed by many visitors on their first visit. The Ngorongoro conservation Area , 5184 sq. kilometers has three other small craters- Oldeani, Olmoti and Empakaai to the north and contains animal population of varied species. It was once a volcanic mountain which with tremendous force, blew and folded to form a Calders. Return to the Camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: NGORONGORO/SERENGETI
Depart after breakfast and stop first at Olduvai Gorge for a visit to the museum. Lunch at the Gorge Museum. After Lunch, visit various sites of the Gorge to see where the remains of the pre- historic man were discovered by the famous archeologist Dr. L. S. B. Leakey. Visit an old masai homestead on the way. Proceed to Serengeti plains past Serenora and on to Lobo, with afternoon game viewing ,arriving at your Camp for a late evening. Dinner and overnight at the Camp.

Day 4: SERENGETI
Leave Lobo for Ndutu with game viewing in Serengeti and around Ndutu woodlands to locate Leopards and numerous plains games as well as Cheetahs, common species here. Overnight at Camp.

Day 5: SERENGETI/ NAIROBI or ARUSHA
After breakfast, with brief game viewing on your way out of Serengeti drive to Arusha via Mto wa Mbu Village for shopping of Makonde Carvings and - other souvenirs. Lunch at Arusha. Proceed back to Nairobi via Namanga border arriving early evening.
